Tim Stone sent me your copy of Alice’s three poems. I too, think she is a fine writer. She did a great op on me for The Clearing and I deeply appreciate her doing that for me and for Bob Yeomans. Out here on the desert, I love to read in your Winter Book about my old friends, many of whom are gone now and as I age, I appreciate all the friendships I have and have had: Chick Peterson, Tim Stone, the Buchholz Family Wink Larson and Al Johnson among the many. When I get back to the Door I will be a month away from the magic age of 90 and I am suspicious that our daughter, Jeanne Aurelius will spring a party for me. My wish is that Dottie could have lived for that time. Orv
As with the John Harvey “critiques” I’ve commented on earlier, this is a fine, approachable introduction – I shall be back for much, much more.
