When a fellow writer of mine recommended John Bennett to me, I have to say my 'writing life' changed. It shifted, just a bit. Bennett smoothly communicates some of the most complicated thoughts and concepts on reality and life, which usually remain ambiguous and in the mind, and shackles them to the page with concrete sentences.

Bennett's "psychic eruption" he speaks about above is really an accurate way to describe the work he regularly sends out to his email list. Every shard has a slight twist, a grand insight, and beautifully expressive language you won't soon forget.

It's difficult to put a finger on what makes Bennett's work so special. It might be the universal truths mixed into the quirky quotidian examples he shares. It might be his ability to expand the reader's mind to the heavens and then crash it back onto itself.
