What can I say about Carolyn..that she is a beautiful, perfect poet.

I had the good fortune of being one of her students at the Under The Volcano workshop in Mexico a couple of years ago. She has a rare patience with people like me, who go away, and return later with a new bundle of words, words
I have picked to offer to Carolyn like a bouquet of fresh spring flowers.

Carolyn Forche is beautiful, talented and brave.

I have not kept up with her work. Perhaps I am not brave enough to endure
the things she has to say, perhaps I cannot bear to welcome such darkness
into my mind and heart, and carry its pro's and con's around with me.

If I can hardly bear to read it, how could I ever write it?

Carolyn Forche is beautiful, talented and brave. Maybe some day I will be
brave enough to read some of her current work and see if she has changed her mind
about anything.
