I just read a comment of yours regarding James Purdy. Are you the same Larry Myers who was a friend of Jon Cunningham. If so you and I met several times in New York. Just curious. If you are that same person, best regards. I am still hoping to produce A Day After the Fair, as James and I met several times to work out the details in the late 1970s in New York. Sadly, could never work out a satisfactory deal with Wm Morris.

Very nice piece on Purdy, Norbert. This special issue of Hyperion devoted to Purdy will surely be of interest to you:

A pdf of the entire issue (large file, will take about 30 seconds to open):
http://www.nietzschecircle.com/Hyperion_Mar_11.pdf

To access each individual piece:
http://www.nietzschecircle.com/hyperion.html

This features essays, interviews, and more from both Anglo-American and European scholars on Purdy. Perhaps the 21st century will be the century of Purdy's renaissance.
