I was thrilled to read your Nik Klein story. When I was 5 I lived in Chicago and was so horse crazy. I remember riding a spotted rocking horse with a real mane and tail at a friend's house. I have always looked for such a horse at antique stores. I now own 18 real horses of which 6 are spotted. I am ordering your book Chi Town to read the other stories. We left Chicago when I was 7. My dad died in a fall at New Trier High School. He was a foreman for Patton Scaffolding. We moved to the midwest and I am sure I have lived a very different life than I would have if I stayed in Chicago. Hard to keep 18 horses in the city. I am buying a spotted Klein horse. Finally found one. - Winona
