I, for one, am trying to keep McGrath’s important legacy alive. This year’s AWP Conference, in Chicago in Feb. 09, will have a tribute to him, including: Reginald Gibbons, Doren Robbins and Robin Behn. If you’re in the neighborhood, you’re probably already planning to attend AWP. McGrath is a poet who is alive to all of us who live and struggle against the tides!

Came across this post this evening while Googling. I’ve had a great love for Tom McGrath’s poetry since I first read him sometime around 1970 or 1971 (his poem “Something Is Dying Here” in the Lowenfels anthology “Where Is Vietnam?”). Over the years since I’ve read everything of his I could get my hands on.

First time I’ve visited your blog. I’ll definitely come back and read more.
